I first came to Alamo Heights Chiropractic Health Center after a bad
bicycle accident.Immediately after the
accident, I thought I was making good recovery. However, within a few weeks, my whole body began to feel as if it was
falling apart.By the time I arrived at
AHCHC, I could barely turn my head.
I should note that I
am an athlete.I was training for a
triathalon when I had my bicycle accident and I soon acknowledged that I would
have to give u[ racing for a while.Besides
coping with feelings of sadness due to missing out on my athletic pursuits, I
was also dealing with a lot of pain.I
am also a psychologist, so I was able to utilize my knowledge of coping skills
to help me get through the psychological part of the injury. However, using chiropractic care, I was able
to get through the physical part as well.
Using adjustments,
traction, various exercises and eventually massage, I slowly got better. Now, I am a big believer in regular
chiropractic adjustments and consistent completed three marathons, two half
iron-man distance triathalons and numerous other running and bicycle
events.Whenever I meet someone who is
complaining about back pain or other similar maladies, I sing the praises of
using a chiropractor.
